I think Gurus are slightly different from teachers. Those who teach us – subject, matter , conduct, discipline etc are teachers and merit all our respect. But a Guru goes slightly beyond direct teaching. Guruji ( Nirmal Singh baba), Neem Karauli baba and others who cease to exist but still inspire devotion and dedication amongst the followers who probably never met them in person. Even living gurus like Swami Premanand, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sadguru, Shankaracharyas, heads of Nirankari and Radhasoami groups, saints, pirs – all invoke feeling of faith abd devotion from the followers who might not have seen them in person or have had any direct interaction.
I see myself unfit to be in any of the above categories- either a Guru or a teacher. I have neither been a specialist in any subject, teaching seekers of knowledge in that subject nor given any general gyan or awareness to anyone ! However, on every Guru Purnima, several of my close friends, former colleagues and other acquaintances shower me with their love and affection for which I can only express my gratitude.
I also bow to all those living and ceasing to exist who influenced me in my formative as well as later years to make me a slightly better person than what I would have been in their absence from my life.
Happy Guru Purnima.
Happy Guru Poornima Sir,
Your words reflect a humility and depth that truly define a guiding light. Having had the privilege of working under your leadership, I feel deeply blessed to continue learning from you, earlier through your calm nature and way you dealt with everyone so calmly even during pressure situations, and post your retirement through your blog and books
Wishing you a heartfelt Happy Guru Purnima Sir🙏🏻

Shubh Guru Poornima ki Shubhkamnaye,Sir ,Aapko avum Sabhi ko.
Knowingly or unknowingly we create and leave an expression on others with our actions.
And Aap ke write ups,Aap ka saralta ke saath apne baatow ko waqt karna, chahe woh aap ki ek kamjori kyo na ho,kahi na kahi ,dusro ko ye darsata hai ki ,’ Apne kamjorio ko waqt karne mey orr accept kar lene mey koi bhi burai nahi hai’.Orr yehi aapka ek gunn, sabhi ko aapka kayal bana deta hai, jismey mai bhi shamil hoon.
Iss liye from my side too ‘ Tahey Dil se Shukriya’.
There is another person too that is Shri Joyanta Chatterjee ( my Dada) his simple ,smooth ,free flowing ‘Fifty Shades ‘ write ups,are so engrossing that it makes reading so enjoyable and bringing calm to an agitated mind.
There are a few others from our Bank ,who have taught me,influenced me and still influence me.My heartfelt regards to all of them too.
