ABL

We all want to finish our bucket list before we finally kick the bucket. However, the contents of the modern day bucket list are very different from the simple bucket lists of the yore! Travelling to exotic places, indulging in gravity defying adventures, owning the house in the most expensive neighbourhood, driving a customised iconic car – and I am not even mentioning the space odyssey or Mount Everest climbing here-  are some of the elements of the modern day bucket list.

As goes a popular English saying, “ To each his own” and I actually heartily admire those who either aspire or dare to venture into either all or few of the above and several more. And for others, I came across a new acronym in an interesting post shared by a friend of mine, ABL – anti bucket list ! Nothing is right or wrong as no two individuals are alike. Therefore, whether you have a bucket list or an anti bucket list, the idea is to attain happiness and satisfaction in life and live life on one’s own terms.

  1. This is a good term Sir, “Anti Bucket list” Actually never thought of it earlier until I read this term above, but worth pondering on what are those things that I don’t want to do or never want to do it again. There could be many things that one doesn’t want to do.

For me., one which I can think of immediately right now is “Tattooing” (no… not for me)

I like this new term Sir.
